A village library is a public service agency which is located in a village. A unit which was developed from, by and for its community. The source of information has multiple tasks, namely:

• to ensure each society as user of information
• to ensure the information transferred quickly and reliably to users.

Basically, human need information, but sometimes they don’t realize it. They will search for Information and need support from an external input (external resource) if they are unsure to reach a certain goal or they are in a problematic situation. The other opinion states that the need of information is support by anomalous state of knowledge, if someone comes to a source of information (library) to seek information, it means that his/her knowledge is not much enough to faced a particular situation at that time .

The process of information came into human beings consist of three important things, namely:

•  The need for information is a must to fill a certain void in human beings.
•  Information is a thing between the external source and the "empty space" in the human mind.
•  The information occurs when human transferred information from external sources into their mind.

The existence and the role of librarian are very important for a library to run its role well as librarian’s tasks are providing media and bibliographic data, understanding the needs of users in detail and creating the facility for users as easy as possible to meet their needs.

Bibliographic data, as an integral part of library collection media, provides an opportunity for users to extract information as needed.

Users who are using bibliographic data and information retrieval facilities to get information will have other experience of their personal knowledge. Although in the reality, the function of village library as a mean to educate the nation's children in over territory of the unity of the Republic of Indonesia have not be reached the territory maximally but the need of information and knowledge in human beings are increasingly complex due to the development of science and technology and information explosion. At last, the content of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 43 Year 2007 on libraries to create a science-based society will never be achieved.
