Mobile library service is one of services organized by provincial library of Bangka Belitung Province regularly. This service is intended to overcome the information gap of local communities who are difficult to reach library. Besides, the local governments are trying to provide information services proactively to achieve one mission of the Agency of Archives and Library:   fostering and developing a culture of reading.

The procedures of mobile library service are:  selected the duty officers (a librarian and a staff from the agency of archive and library, prepare the letter of duty signed by the head of the Agency and come to the location of mobile library service.  For this month, the targets of mobile library service are visiting 2 (two) places in one departure of Elementary School / MI in the regencies: Bangka, Central Bangka, South Bangka and West Bangka.

For this month, mobile library has success to carry out 13 time services and reach 1427 students. It is expected will be continue to increase.

This mobile library service is expected can help society in obtaining information, spreading information and reading services until the remote areas, build a good cooperation among social, educational, and local government institutions to improve the intellectual and cultural society.
